How to get from Athens Airport to City Centre

You can travel from Athens Airport to the city centre using 4 different means of transport; taxi, private transfer, metro or bus.

1. By public bus

The most common bus route for this journey is the X95 bus.  The X95 bus connects Athens International Airport (AIA) with Syntagma Square in the city center.

Frequency / price: Buses operate frequently throughout the day and night, typically running every 20 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes during the night. the ticket price for the X95 bus is approximately 5.5 euros per person. There is a metro line that connects Athens Airport (Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”) with the city center of Athens. The metro line that serves the airport is called Line 3 (also known as the Blue Line).
